Re: Top 8 ways to get out of a slump ...

Wise words Pawel, and techniques I've been using lately. One other rut-losing method I've found that works for me is switching genre's. I know, I know, how could a dedicated Pirate-head like myself, one who only started buying legos after (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Top 8 ways to get out of a slump ...

(...) I like this idea. Sometimes I try to get detailed early on in a project and end up with something I didn't plan to have. Usually it'll look cool but I won't be pleased with it. (...) This has been a real problem for me. I tend to think really (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Just a collectibles dealer I think. Most of the feedbacks I read which gave a clue as to the item purchased were for cards. Frank (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

(...) <snip> I'm curious as to who and where in G'boro. Might there be another AFOL in G'boro?! or just a dealer? (...) Can't imagine your regretting this. I have regretted only what I let pass... (...) Congratulations! Enjoy! sheree <snip> (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Top 8 ways to get out of a slump ...

(...) Thanks for the ideas! I have two suggestions, though. #1, Carry a small sketchbook with you whenever possible. Put a mechanical pencil into it, and sketch ideas when you think of them (a B2 pod attacked by a swinging arm to a rocket booster). (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

(I agree with Mark, so XP to .build) (...) <snip> (...) <snip> (...) To Pawel's defense (not that he needs any, his ideas are all great ;-), his few ideas got me out of my own builder's block back around November-December of last year. Felix, Scar (...)   Re: Top 8 ways to get out of a slump ...

Thanks for the suggestions, Pawel! Even though your post was geared toward Castle folk, I think there are enough good pointers in here, to crosspost to .build. These suggestions can benefit anyone, IMHO. (...) Yeah, many of my MOCs have gone from (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Top 8 ways to get out of a slump ...

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has been in one of those. They tend to last anywhere from a day to six months to maybe even longer. The questions is: What can you do about them once they are there? I have been through enough of them to accumulate (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle) !

My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

After claiming for the better part of a year to get involved and share something I've done, I have finally can. :) While it's not really a MOC, it's the beginning of a story that provides some background and introduction to the realm I intend to (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Castles and Verdigris

Anyone build any castle MOC's using the new Statue Of Liberty color? Is it worth buying that set for castle parts? I haven't actually seen it yet, so I was wondering how it would go with blacks and greys. Thanx. "I'm NOT PLAYING, I'm CREATING!!" (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Well, I just did it...

Congratulations Frank! Find a good color printer for the instructions. I hope this set impresses you. (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Well, I just did it...

(...) Yea, I'd like to get a 6067 also, though I'm not quite so desperate for one of those since I have 3 sets of walls for it, just need the printed flag. Frank (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Well, I just did it...

Congrats! I'd like to someday get my hands on one of those, though there's a few sets I want more first :) 6067 comes to mind first. Though finding them at a decent price is next to impossible.. Tamy (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Well, I just did it...

I was browsing through eBay this evening, and lo, there was a 6075 Yellow Castle. Hmm, well, go take a look, hey, the seller is in Greensboro NC (about an hour away).
