  Re: Future Themes for Castle

If you aren't aware, Erik Wilson has a page collecting many "Ancient Theme" designs that have been made over the years. He has a Colliseum, he & Jacob Sparre Andersen did chariots, there's Susan Hoover's famous Trojan Horse, and finally, a real (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Flimsy weapons

I just got three of the new Castle sets, and there's something I feel needs addressed. The swords, both silver and grey, are VERY flimsy. I don't know if this is the way it's been for a while, because I haven't bought a castle set in a while. I (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Future Themes for Castle

(...) Good ideas, Dylan. This would, IMO, appeal to the youngin's, because there's lots of big things, and it would also be nice for us AFOL's. I'd buy it. Plus, TLG would be happy because they can save money by using big pieces. With all those (...) (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Huh? What's the dif. between old-timer broadswords ("longswords") and today's? They're just the same, aren't they? Armor, now that's another issue... -Shiri (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
