Believe me, there's a difference. The older ones are much thicker, and maybe
even made out of a different type of plastic. The new ones also have a little
texture on them. I've broken a few of the old swords in my time, and I know
that they just snap, they don't bend. (This was before I worried about taking
care of my Legos) Hold them side by side and you'll see.
