  Re: Inn/tavern teaser

(...) Shiri, You are off to a good start here and I am flattered that you are using my Inn for some inspiration. Like I have said before my Inn didn't even start as an Inn and it just sort of evolved into what it is. First to answer some of your (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

I'll try to answer a few posts in one. (Don't feel like replying to each one :-) As soon as I read all the posts I went to rebuilding... now some more writing before I hit the books: (...) Hmmm... what did it start as? Just a house? (...) That's a (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Actually it started out as a barracks, couldn't you tell? :-). Seriously it did start out as a barracks. It was mostly just an experiment in finding a use for the new 3x4x5 castle walls. Although I did use 4 of the new castle walls it is (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Inn/tavern teaser

(...) Sorry but that is just a bit to formal for this newsgroup don't you think? :-). Eric is fine, maybe Eric K. to differentiate from the other Eric's but Mr. Kingsley just makes me feel a little to old and I want this to be a relaxed atmosphere (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Inn/tavern teaser

(...) I have seen several references to making creations more modular. Are you talking about using technic friction pins? I would love to be able to open up MOC's and show the insides of the structures. If you are using the friction pins, what (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Inn/tavern teaser

(...) I've found that using the 1x2 or 2x2 bricks with the built-in pins works even better because you don't have to worry about the pin itself coming loose. The other side would of course be a 1x2 technic beam. (...) Actually, those are something (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Inn/tavern teaser

Lindsay sent me the A-Wing this week and my worry on building it was, how are the guns going to stay up if they're held in by those wimpy black Technic pegs? Now I know. I have to plead your "we didn't HAVE no stinkin' friction pins". These are (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

Eric and Jeff, thanks for the tips on pins. I have some of the 1x2's with the built in pins, so I will give those a try. I will need to wait untill the AucZILLA XI shipments arrive before I can try out the pins and beams. Thanks again! Bruce Duncan (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)
