I my novice opinion, I think my max would be about $150. That is what I
have bid on this set before. I have a couple of these castles and they bring
back warm fuzzy memories of building and playing all day w/ this set. However,
I don't get overly sentimental about it. For me to bid higher than $150, the
set would need to be a display only-no play wear model. Except for a few slope
and corner pieces this castle can be easily assembled from most AFOL'S
inventories, unless you are absolutely in love w/ the original stickers.
I say this, however, w/ full knowledge that a XEROX executive friend of mine
was absolutely beaming when he was able to buy one in England last year in very
good play worn condition for over $300. His theory is "the heart wants what
the heart wants". (Apparently his promotion now allows him to afford more
expensive "wants")
