Help me name Ikros!! —Anthony Sava
Well, not my story's country, Ikros. But my story, the Chronicles of Ikros As some of you may already know, I am going to attempt to publish currently web-finished story. I'm not ready to send it off to any companies yet, but while I was working on (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, lugnet.org.us.texlug, lugnet.publish.html)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Erick Jensen
Original title is the best. It says it all. Chronicles of Ikros is a story about more than just one guy (garalt). It's about what happens to an entire country. So it's perfectly named. Don't change it. e. (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

In lugnet.castle, Anthony Sava writes: -snipped for space reasons- (...) This is probably the best one, it would fit in later for IKROS: Chaos Skies (...)         Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Jeremy Scott
(...) The best is #1 hands down. (...) Well, the story centers around two things; (as observed by me as a veiwer) Garalt and the dragons. I would suggest these names to follow those main points: The Awaking of the Immortal Dragons -The main story (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —William Braun
I think, personally, that the Chronicles of Ikros is a perfictly fine name. You left out C.S. Lewises Chronicles of Narnia, another succsesful fantasy line. Besides, it stands out in that it is different then the others. so thers just my 2 cents ( (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Josh Wedin
Hey Anthony, Here is my two bits worth. It seems to me that the title depends on the age of the audience you are going after. Based on the length of your book I think that the young adult market (13-17 or so) would be best. If that is the case then (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Matt Hein
(...) Are you serious? Is it really possible to publish animated web stories? Actually, that's quite an intriguing prospect. I wish you best of luck. I haven't actually read your story yet. Don't know if I will, but here's my opinions anyway. Since (...) (22 years ago, 21-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Arthur Aringdale
Anthony- I think an awesome name for it would be Dragonwar or The Dragonwar. This might be the title of a Dragonlance book but I don't think it is. By the way, not to sound completely naive, but what does the gastiel have to do with anything except (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

The Chronicles of Ikros: Battle of the Dragons —David Simmons
Anthony, I agree with many others here in feeling that "The Chronicles of Ikros" is a superb title that should not be changed. It is a terrific way to describe a long series of stories. However, I think a subtitle is a perfect way to denote separate (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Alex Polimeni
How about "The fellowship of garalt"? or "Quest for the three dragons"? or "The adventures of the gastiel"? Just some ideas. Alex (22 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Help me name Ikros!! —Tony Hafner
The name you choose will hardly be relevant if you actually get a contract, as the publisher is likely to force a crappy name on you anyway. That said, a spiffy name might help you *get* that contract. I don't know. I really doubt that "Chronicles (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle)
