    Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! Gero of Falckenstein expects the visit of his niece Kriemhild whose guardian he was. Kriemhild is accompanied by her brother Ruediger and of course by an escort. (URL) just a little series, not really a story (to appease those who don't like (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle) !

        Re: Medieval life —James Stacey
There are some lovely touches there. I particularly like your trees (the silver birch is inspired), the mechanism on the gatehouse and the dots around the door arch. Lots of detail and realism Thanks for sharing -- James Stacey ---...--- (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Medieval life —Tom Reed
(...) I liked some of the design concepts you used. Also liked the trees! Nice stuff! Keep up the good work and keep posting the results! Tom (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! Well, actually building is finished (mostley due to lack of grey bricks...). But more images will be shown. Bye Jojo (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Medieval life —Tamyra Teed
I like all the added details you put into the castle, would it be possible to see more pictures of just the castle and the gate house/grounds? Not that I didn't appreciate how they maneuvered the cart through the grounds, I'd like to see more (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! There will be more pictures. Momentary I'm taking pictures as long as sun is shining into my dusky attic... Bye Jojo (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Medieval life —Aaron Dalan
(...) You told the story just they way you should--with pictures! Leave it to your reader to imagine what the characters are saying to one another. I loved it. It was very cool to see a whole troupe of men with the crest from the 373 red knight. 373 (...) (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! To be honest: I had no complete story in mind when I took the pictures. I just wanted to put them in a logical order. (...) Hehe! This blue 383-knight (sorry, i've to correct you in this point...) is one of my (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Aaron Dalan
(...) Of course, 383!! Or in the U.S., I think it was 6083. I am still getting used to describing lego according to set number. Anyway, I lost the red knight years and years ago, and haven't seen another one out there for less than an arm and a leg! (...)         Re: Medieval life —Leah Cardaci
I truly enjoyed your series. Very good job of showing an event through the figs point of view. What really caught my attention, however, was the wonderful detail that was put into your creations. :-) I was glad to see you also had some overview (...)          Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! Indeed I love details. Sometimes I build big structures just to elaborate one little detail :-) (...) There are more pictures to come. Currently I'm working on the structure of my BrickShelf folder. Bye Jojo (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Medieval life —Bruce Hietbrink
(...) birch tree. I think my favorite photo for some reason is of the king looking over the wall. Bruce (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! Hehe, it seems there was a need for new tree designs. (...) Oh, he's not a king. Gero is just a likeable robber baron who couldn't do harm to anybody... Bye Jojo (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Medieval life —Nathan Todd
(...) Very Nice! Of course I assume there is a story... Oh well. Great stuff especiall like the carridge and the gatehouse. God Bless, Nathan (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! No, there is really not a complete story in this case. There are just some characters who were remaining from my International-System...est-story. Bye Jojo (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

        Re: Medieval life —Leonard Hoffman
your castle is awesome.. it was one of my favorite from the ISCC contest. this little story is really cute, but excuse me.. but don't they take really long to get through the gatehouse? there are like six shots of the carriage slowly going through..          Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! (...) Hehe... I've to admit that I used the passage of the carriage to show some details of the building. (...) Indeed. But this castle is built on an rocky island in the river. So attackers would have a real (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Medieval life —John P. Henderson
(...) the use of basic gray bricks rather than the standard castle wall elements. It does make for a very customized and personalized look. I am also interested in "borrowing" your idea for arrow loops, but I haven't been able to replicate your (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)

         Re: Medieval life —Johannes Koehler
Hello! (...) Thanks for your comment! (...) Yes, I intentionally did build the castle without castle wall parts (although those parts used to be the incarnation of the desirable part in my childhood). I was somehow surprised when I finished building (...) (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.castle)
