    another IOM question —David Gardner
could i send two different ships at the same time but have them both be in same party? like i have built a ship and an air ship could i have the ship carry mostly subblies and the airship mostly take the party members. another question, are airships (...)    (...) Sure - the more, the merrier. They can be in different parties as well. Your call. (...) For the most part, airships aren't considered magic - they are considered mechanical. What does your airship use as a source of fuel? Examine that ... I (...) (23 years ago, 22-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: another IOM question —Wilson Raska
<snip> (...) Didn't we decide that the mist nullifies both magic and any sort of technological or mechanical device? I think, if the mist won't let anything magical work while it's in the mist's proximity, then the mist won't let anything mechanical (...) (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: another IOM question —Pawel Nazarewicz
(...) Hmmm ... the mechanical dilemma. Let's examine a few givens: 1) Magic as well as all machines are rendered useless within the mist. 2) Magic and machines become more hindered the closer they approach the mist. 3) Magic is much more effected (...)          Re: another IOM question —Pawel Nazarewicz
(...) Hmm ... there is a period of adjustment that everyone goes through once they enter the mist. While certain races adjust quicker than others, none really adjust completely - the mist effects all sensory functions - not just sound or sight. But (...)         Re: another IOM question —Erik Olson
(...) Do you mean big machines like catapults? How about the ship's winch? "Captain, we can't seem to get the anchor up... the crank is corroded fast!" Perhaps what you are trying to rule out is those exceedingly clever imaginary moving parts? (23 years ago, 23-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: another IOM question —Pawel Nazarewicz
(...) Ha ha ... that might seem goofy, but it's very to the point. While simple tools might not be effected by the mist (inclined plane, wheel), the more complex a mechanism gets, the greater the effect the mist has. The mist is thick and sticks to (...)         Re: another IOM question —Erik Olson
(...) I am going to observe that machines made from avocado and possibly other fruits are resilient and able to continue functioning. That is, if they ever functioned at all? (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)

Re: another IOM question —Wilson Raska
(...) Sure, I'll help with that. Just let me know what you're thinking of and I'll start to come up with ideas. Wilson (...) (23 years ago, 24-Oct-01, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)
