Do you mean big machines like catapults? How about the ship's winch?

Perhaps what you are trying to rule out is those exceedingly clever
imaginary moving parts?

While simple tools might not be effected by the mist (inclined plane, wheel), the more complex a mechanism gets, the greater the effect the mist has. The mist is thick and sticks to (...)
