  Re: 3 ideas I had

(...) Actually I think this idea was used in 5850 The Royal Crystal Palace. Well, ok, I think it uses cones. Frank (21 years ago, 24-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle)

Re: The Brickfest PDX Moonbase Build Up!

(...) Hey now! Just watch out for those Moonbase eating sheep! Just ask the Shpleem. (URL) And another thing to look out for, the sheep seem to be evolving.   Re: New MOC: Saw Mill

(...) My, those are mighty big teeth you have there! Very nice. Lots of play value in that one. Lots of nifty touches.. the rounded tudor is a very neat feature. Why do you "hate the roof"?? Spotlighted. (21 years ago, 23-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: "A wizard is never late, Mr. Frodo Baggins. He arrives exactly when he means to!"

(...) Hi Nathan, Really great MOC, I loved it I love the way you used Hinge Train Gate ((URL)), and the great combination of tan/brown. How did you connect the long brown sticks to the side of the horse? Well done Yaron "Webrain" Dori (21 years ago, 22-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: 3 ideas I had

(...) Ah, my mistake. I can't recall any specific uses of that design that I've seen, but I'd still be surprised if it hasn't been used before by someone (flip it upside-down and it sounds like a neat idea for part of a nano-scale building). I (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle)

  Re: 3 ideas I had

(...) They do, but they spin freely in the sockets. I'd lean more towards using black friction pins (maybe with black axes to make them less obvious?) which will both grip on the inside of the hub and the axle handle. Er, they grip the axe a bit (...)   Re: 3 ideas I had

(...) What I actually meant was to stick 1 x 1 round bricks on each of the 4 prongs, not just one in the middle. (21 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle)

  Re: 3 ideas I had

(...) Here's another way to get 120 degree angles with hinge bricks: (URL) got the idea from Jon Palmer: (URL) course, four axes spinning around would be pretty easy--I'd use the 4x4 round brick in brown as a hub: (URL) technic half-pins fit into (...)   Re: Festival of the Moon: the PDX Classic-Castle Event

I would also like to encourage people to bring CCC buildings to Portland. Even though I can not attend, I will send my City Gate and haycart with Lenny for everyone to see. (URL) Hopefully this will be a massive castle display! Ben E. (21 years ago, 20-Jan-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: 3 ideas I had

(...) Three might be tricky to pull off. There are only three pieces that I can think of that allow you to attach things at exactly 120 degree intervals, and one of them is a fairly new TECHNIC tri-beam that only comes in two sets. This is probably (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Butcher's Shop

(...) Thanks! If you look at this picture: (URL) I can try to explain it. The window is 4 wide on a five wide area. At this point the sides have 'large' gaps which are made smaller by filling with a 1x4 tile. The front shutter clips of the window (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Gravedigger and Cemetery

(...) Nice! I like the tombstone with the rounded off top as well as the recently moved earth - makes for a good effect. I do have to wonder what the people think of the dead being burried within the castle walls though ... -- Pawel (URL) (21 years ago, 20-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Butcher's Shop
