DARN! DARN! DARN! DARN! DARN! I've been MOCcing around in my collection, built 3 seed part MOCs, a Colossal Castle Contest MOC, and started a Travis Kunce Aircar.... And the stupid computer that I use with my digicam isn't working right now. (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jan-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.castle)

  Black Falcons' Gate

Hi, Here is my latest creation: The Black Falcons' Gate. (URL) crusaders have come to rescue a captured friend and are being fended off. Most of them fell in the moat. (2 URLs) The interior features a small stable, dungeon, and the heavily guarded (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: Jeweler & Tinker Shops

(...) Thanks for the compliment. I am a fan of your work too, that watermill is quite nice. As other's mentioned, your flair for LEGO styling is inspiring. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

(...) Hmm, when the mecha guru comes by to say good work, you know you did something right. ;) Thanks for the comments Eric and glad to hear that your fellow employees enjoyed it as well. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Sorry...

(...) I agree. It's a nice place to be even when something awful happens (or especially when). Don't sweat it Nathan, and welcome back. -paul (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.people, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle)

  Re: Jeweler & Tinker Shops

These are excellent models! I was showing these to the staff here at the Lego Store this morning before opening. They all thought these models were very well done. Great work. Super photos too. Eric Sophie (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Jeweler & Tinker Shops

Impressive work! It's amazing the details included in the interior! 10/10 ! Terry (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Jeweler & Tinker Shops

(...) This is a great shop. I first got to see it at the MichLUG Festival of Trees appearance and was really impressed by the two opening sections and the wealth of detail inside. It's not enough to look at the thumbnails--go look at all the (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Water wheel construction

Hi Larry, (...) I looked at this. There are 20 equally spaced posts in the wheel (5 per fence piece). So 2,4,5,10 go in equally, but not 8. I was limited by the octagon piece to 2,4,or 8 spokes. I tried and you can fudge with 8 spokes in real life (...) (21 years ago, 8-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Mill

(...) Wow, this is pretty good. Definetly better than my watermill... The entire thing has a nice, compact, playable feel to it. (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Water wheel construction

(...) I'm curious, did you try rotating the fencing 22.5 degrees relative to the 8 clips so that each fence would be held on by 2 clips and all 8 would be used? Or does that not work, even if you skew the clips slightly? I want to see someone do an (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Jeweler & Tinker Shops

Great work as usual! The interiors are great. I especially like what you've done with the beds. Keep it up! James (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Jeweler & Tinker Shops

A new CCC shop. The idea for that connection between the buildings was burning in my head and I just had to work on it. This shop has been done for about a month and made it to a few shows, I just hadn't taken good pictures of it. (3 URLs) Jason (...)   Water wheel construction

Here is a better picture of the water wheel construction: (URL) wheel is held to the shaft using 1x1 plate clips. Each spoke is a horizontal clip and a vertical clip. The spokes at the seams of the tan pieces are dummies. They don't really hold (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Mill

(...) Thanks, James. (...) I guess our mills will be tough competitors in the contest :) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Mill

(...) Interesting. You are right - that's a lot. Dan's Blacksmith Shop was 622 pieces and cost $40.00. That would put your model right around $25.00. I doubt it would be that much though. Great set! Good photography too ... -- Pawel (URL) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Mill

Hi James, Thank you for the compliments. (...) I dabble in Ldraw but have never made instructions. I can send you more detailed pictures of the mill if you are interested. James (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Mill

Hi Pawel, (...) I just made a quick count/estimate. Suprisingly I think it would take about 400 pieces to replicate. There are a lot of 1x1s tho. No wonder it took so long to build :) James (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Medieval Mill

Hi Andrzej, Your guarded mill is really nice work! (...) Apparently it was simultaneously. I was pretty bummed when I got back from vacation and saw your wheel on Brickshelf. I found the aeronomad set on clearance before xmas and used some of the (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Sorry...

(...) Nathan, Thanks for being sensitive enough to apologize without prodding from others. I was a little surprised anyone would turn such a phrase just now, but once I read your post, I realized that you likely had been out of the loop. I don't (...)
