  Re: LPub Difficulties

(...) Hi Peter, Thanks for all the good info. What version of Windows are you running on? If you send me your DATs, I can try to run them here. Also send me your config.lpb from the LPub install directory. Kevin <snip> (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  LPub Difficulties

This may well be something very simple, but I'm not finding it. I'm trying out LPub for the first time. I had LDraw and MLCAD and had created a number of .ldr files which I wanted to run through LPub. Today I downloaded and installed POV-RAY, (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: 8458 Silver Champion Render

(...) Hi Orion, Looks very good! Dunno if you have an image-editor but if you lighten the midtones it looks much better. There is a lot of detail in the picture, it's just a bit dark. BTW if you render it on level 2 it will look just as good but (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  8458 Silver Champion Render

Have a look at the picture: (warning 695K) (URL) used Jeroen de Haan's cust_inc library at level 3 and Mesh-Enhancer 1.0 by Dr. Lothar Teichert. I'm not entirely happy with the results but I'm not going to rerender it since it took this long: (URL) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.technic)

Re: Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?

(...) I do this sometimes to show the part rendered from a different angle to make it clear what part is being attached... usually it's an assembly of more than one part but not always. (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Help with MegaPOV settings

(...) Thanks for the suggestion. I decided to render the print res images and use trusty Photoshop to eliminate the problem. The weird thing is...when I rendered the model at LPub's preset 'Print Resolution,' it didn't shade the slopes! Also, at (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Help with MegaPOV settings

I don't know if it will give you the effect you want, but you can probably improve that particular part by bumping up the ambient lighting term (assuming POV has an ambient term). You may have to also decrease the brightness of your lights if you do (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Help with MegaPOV settings

Hey everyone - I'm having a slight problem with MegaPOV. I've gotten my settings down to where I want them, but one of my models encounters this slight problem.   Camera Positioning

Re: Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?

(...) L3P has a bug with part colors when there is a single part in a sub-file. In this case, you need to ask yourself why you have this case. It seems overkill to have side.ldr with just one part in it. None the less, it is a bug in L3P. (...) LPub (...) (22 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)
