  Re: Minifig Heads

I'm still enough of a novice to not know how to do that. Is it something you do in the .dat file stage? Do in the .pov file? I seem to lear the best by example, so if you know of someone who has posted a file which demonstrates this, I'd like to (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  RE: Minifig Heads

(...) What you need to do is render a blank round head and then use an image_map of the face for the pigment of the head. You can change the map type to a cylindrical wrap instead of rectangular if necessary. A slightly lower qualityway to do it (...) (23 years ago, 21-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Minifig Heads

Hello, I've been using ML-Cad, L3P, L3PAO, and Pov Ray for a while now, and I've been wondering what the best way is to render minifig heads and/or helmets. I've seen some beautiful renderings out there, with wonderful ROUND heads, but I haven't (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Can LDAO do this? (was: anyone interested in rendering for me?)

Well... I know it's been a while... Anyway, it seems that you guys picked up on it and now the answer is easy 'cause -sc "#if (clock > n)" has been added to L3PAO. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. However I'm having trouble with telling POV-Win to (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: L3PAO Floor Problem

(...) I've experienced this same problem. As Gary correctly points out in another reply, the floor is infinite, but it's possible to position the camera so low relative to the floor that the floor slices through the "lens" of the camera; since (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Rendering Problems

(...) Oh! OH! I know this :-) There's a drop-down box in the left-hand corner just under the toolbar. Pull that menu down and select another image resolution. HTH, Will Bricksburg Fire Department: www.bricksburg.org GoB Bricksburg Depot: (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Rendering Problems

I reinstalled L3P and Pov-Ray and most everything is back to normal. I can actually render a .pov file now. However, it is rendering in a *very* small window. Previously, the renderings took up the entire screen. How can I change this? -Kyle (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: L3PAO Floor Problem

the floor should be an infinate plane, no matter how far you move the camera or model you shouldn't run out of floor. try commenting out the model with/* at the front and */ at the end. leaving the lights, camera, background, floor. render it and see (...)   Re: L3PAO Floor Problem

Thanks...that does the trick for the floor level. I'm still having problems with the black space across the bottom of the picture though. It's almost as if POV reaches the boundary of the floor and has nothing left to render at that point. Is there (...) (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)
