Could someone help me with this?

I don't know how to get different lighting in PovRay. I tried the light.dat files in my models but I only seem to get the standard lighting made by L3P. Could someone try to explain how to use light.dat files? Many many many thanks in advance, Jay (24 years ago, 10-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: New Converter from LDraw To Lightwave

I'll give it a twirl!! No more DXF's!!! I use 3DS MAX, but have Polytrans, so conversions from LWO to MAX is a snap. Maybe I will test this weekend, and FINALLY, maybe, get Bram Lambrecht's awesome mining truck rendered! Thanks! Eric Regner soon to (...)   RE: L3P / POVRay material questions

(...) Sure, use the color definitions. After all, they aren't really mine. No need to refer to any URL. If you like L2P quality but use L3P because of it's completeness, you might want to look at this (very hacked) include file: (URL) you credit (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

It is completly (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: L3P / POVRay material questions

(...) re-formatted them to work with L3P output? Cool. Can I use this library in my own renderings? And if / when I publish POV files that use this library, what URL should I refer to? Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

RE: L3P / POVRay material questions

(...) Since you asked me specifically...:) There may be a more elegant solution, but here's the way I do it: (URL) the POV file, include the line: #include "legocolors.inc" You may have to comment out the L3P color definitions (although I think they (...)
