Hello,
a new converter exists since a few days. It can convert LDraw Objects
(*.DAT) into
Lightwave Objects (*.lwo) and Lightwave Scene Files (*.lws) (compatible with
Version 5.5, 5.6, 6.x); running under Win 95 / 98 / NT / 2000.
It is completly Freeware!!!
Name: LDraw2LWS
Version: 1.0
Some Features: - Creation of "Lego"-Sign on Studs
- Usage of preprocessed Objects
- Algorithm for Reducing Points of every Object
For more information, go to: http://www.joern-thiemann.de/tools
There you can find information about the tool and a example gallery from
some objects, raytraced with Lightwave (watch the "Lego"-Signs on every
Stud).
For critic, bug, new ideas, or everything else, your are welcome

| I'll give it a twirl!! No more DXF's!!! I use 3DS MAX, but have Polytrans, so conversions from LWO to MAX is a snap. Maybe I will test this weekend, and FINALLY, maybe, get Bram Lambrecht's awesome mining truck rendered! Thanks! Eric Regner soon to (...)
