(...) I've talked to a few people recently who do that, and I didn't realize actually how many of them there were. (...) Ok. (...) Would a more suitable phrase be 'Do you find the old DOS interface difficult to use, and would like to see something (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Not speaking for Frederik, but I think it's simply a matter of levels of expertise. It's not necessarily true that the old DOS interface is more difficult or bothersome, but that it appeals more to an expert user. Conversely, the MLCad UI (...) (...) Hmm. Sounds like each command-keystroke should be duplicated, so there can be a set of left-hand keys, and a set of right-hand keys. That way, no matter which hand we mouse with, we can touch-type the command-keys! :) And no, I'm not *exactly* (...) (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) True, but having that functionality shouldn't be used as an excuse for not making a thoughtful design for the mappings in the first place. Steve (24 years ago, 30-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
