(...) Very good thought. As we discover the possiblities with subdirectories in LDraw, this is a very good idea for us to use.   Re: IMPORTANT - [ldraw.org] Official Model Repository

Good thinking on this, but there is one problem not addressed: duplicate set numbers. For this we will need at least one character to distinguish different sets with the same number. But this puts us over the 8+3 characters. The only character we (...) (25 years ago, 11-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Tim, Using the set number only is a problem, especially for part authors. In my models directory, a number-only file means a part I'm working on, while models are indicated with a preceding "m". -John Van Tim Courtney <tim@zacktron.com> wrote in (...)   OMR FILENAMES - Decision Time

  [ldraw.org] Progress
