Re: MPD compilers that support the LDR extension

(...) Thanks for reminding me of the problem. The MPD Builder has been updated, so it handles both ".ldr" and ".dat" as LDraw file name extensions with ".ldr" as the default extension. You can download the source code og binaries for Linux/x86 from: (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: I have some ideas / suggestions for all programmers

(...) I agree about using INI files instead of the registry, because it's easier/safer to directly edit INI files. And it's easier for other programmers to figure out the information. For sharing settings between programs, it makes sense (IMO) to (...) (22 years ago, 1-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Yet another idea - Portable Ldraw system

As sometime the electricity goes and as I don't have a laptop and even sometimes my brother wants to play games as I have a powerfull PC but I can't just stop my ldraw work or what ever i'm doing for him to play so as we have 3 pc's and I found on (...) For myself, I'd rather include a bozo-value (like '%%NOTFOUND%%' or '') as the default value for (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Spheroid Generator now on the web

Spheroid Generator is now a web page. With just a web browser you can get instructions showing where to put plates to make a sphere, cone, or tent in any size, using plates. Kind of like Mosaic Maker. I'll be working on this more, so that it can (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.announce) !!

  Hollow LDraw models

Many months ago I posted a question regarding making hollow shells or mesh objects out of LDraw models. In the POVray links section, under the macro subheading, is a listing for something called 'Tristan Macro for MegaPOV'. Anyone test this to see (...) (22 years ago, 28-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

The whole reason for a parts license is to prevent new part authors from asserting arbitrary demands on the (...)   Re: File Header request for Minifig Parts

Hi Willy (and everyone :), I mostly agree with your idea that 'minifig parts' need to be rearranged. This has been a back-burner project of mine for over a year (and it had been thought about for much longer than that). Here are some things to keep (...) What the heck is the # for this color in LDraw? I've been driving myself batty trying to figure it out, and my searches here in .cad have been unsuccessful. Help help help! Dave! (22 years ago, 30-Jul-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
