LDraw.org Parts Update 2002-05 Now Available

This fifth update for 2002 contains 199 files, including 116 new parts. As always, along with the new parts, there are various fixes, new primitives, and name changes. The Parts Tracker is now up and running again, but the 2002-05 parts preview (...) (22 years ago, 30-Nov-02, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev) !

  LCAD/LDraw.org Formal Organization

There's been occasional discussion about formalizing the LEGO-style CAD fan organization. Although an informal organization usually serves us pretty well, there are some things an informal group can not do, such as deal well with keeping a treasury, (...) We're thinking along the lines of a 'town council' approach, where the elected officers are equal peers (as opposed to having offices of president, vice president, etc). I added a feature to automatically generate contour lines for exported objects, and reexported my 6575 model. I'm not sure it's quite the way it should be yet.   Txt2Dat, utility to convert text to LDraw

I've created a small utility program (and supporting DAT files) to create LDraw displays from text messages. It's currently very limited; it only handles numbers, letters, and some whitespace.
