I know `pnmtops` very well (there's a bug in one of Red Hat's versions
of it), but once you have rasterised a vector image, there is really no
way to get back to the quality of the vector image again.
Using `pnmtops` you will either get much larger files than necessary or
insufficient resolution for printing (or maybe even both).
