  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) [snip] (...) [snap] (...) Nod, right. INCLUDE has been mentioned before, in other contexts, and I'm generally in favor of it. But I'd rather discuss that in a separate thread - IF[N]DEF/ELSE/ENDIF wouldn't depend on INCLUDE. (although, for (...) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) Well yes, but I wasn't just thinking about POV. I thought that was your point in changing the syntax. The 0 INCLUDE meta-command could be used to install custom colors much like the ldliterc.dat file. I'm sure there are plenty of other non-POV (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Various Questions . . .

Okay I'm new to the whole LDraw thing so bear with me. I'm trying to model one of my creations and I've discovered two of the parts are not available. First of all, what is the process to get a part made? Can I produce a part myself and what (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) In general, that's an interesting thought. But in this case, I don't think it's necessary - POV already has an include statement (IIRC). Of course, allowing the use of such a statement raises another issue: is it alright to distribute (...) (23 years ago, 18-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

(...) Just a thought. If the POVRAY (or whatever) sections get too big, would it make sense to add 0 INCLUDE meta-command so the LDRAW only programs don't waste time parsing? Then the POV specific versions could be distributed separately from the (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: L3P user primitive substitution

Dear All, Currently, there are a number of files on the Parts Tracker which include embedded POV-Ray, using the 0 L3P meta-statement. I've been emailing with Lars, Paul and Chris about some concerns I have with this approach. Basically, before we (...) (23 years ago, 17-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  [Parts Tracker] File Check Function

The Parts Tracker now offers "File Check", a way to check part files from your local hard drive. Anyone can use File Check, no userid is required. It is separate from the Submit function. See it at (URL). It's also available by clicking "File Check" (...) (23 years ago, 13-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Old technic gearbox & mounting box

(...) I recently acquired these two parts myself, and had put them aside to model, but am unlikey to get time in the next two months. Feel free to copy anything you need from the motor - the cross-section of the gearbox should match. Chris (23 years ago, 12-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Old technic gearbox & mounting box

Hi, Has anyone modelled the old gearbox & mounting box from set 872 (URL) ? I've found the square gearbox (shown in the centre of the box cover, and the 4.5v motor from set 870, but have been unable to find the gearbox on the left & the mounting box (...)   [Parts Tracker] Small New Function

Look at: (URL) In the upper right corner, I've added a "Quick Lookup" box. This box allows you to quickly jump to the detail page for any part on the Tracker. Just type the part number and hit enter (or click Go). The lookup isn't very smart (yet) - (...) (23 years ago, 11-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: There is no more parts repository

(...) The night has changed my mind. I now realise that accessibility is a secondary problem. The main problem is and will remain to help the production of more and better parts. Having more accessible low quality parts would just be a poor (...) (23 years ago, 9-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Acurate colours in MLCAD & Pov-Ray - my DAT

X-posting to the other groups I accidentaly cut. & here is a picture for comparison between the LDraw colours (left) & Suz's accurate colours (right) (URL) blue & the tan benefit the most from the new colours. In lugnet.cad.dev, Carsten Schmitz writes: ... (...) What about facilitating the learning curve? I agree authors should strive to make their parts perfect, as only perfect ones will become official. However, one of the joys of the task is to share (...) (23 years ago, 9-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Acurate colours in MLCAD & Pov-Ray

Just recently I was trying to find an old colour for a model that I was building. During my searching I came across Suz's Color Reference: (URL) had all of the colours of current & past LEGO pieces :-) I also found a post by Steve Bliss: (URL) of (...)   Re: There is no more parts repository

Hello (...) Horse? (...) I don't consider that as a good idea. It doesn't encourage a lot of part authors to mak their parts perfect. If the part is submitted to the tracker it shows that the author of the part is really willing to make it official (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: There is no more parts repository

(...) What is the place for recent parts such as the Fabuland Car Base or the Horse? Everybody will agree that having ALL parts in ONE place is better. One solution could be to extend the submission page with a new "Deposit" button. When this button (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

There is no more parts repository

The Tore Temporary Parts Tracker was a convenient one. It is now superceded by the official LDraw Parts Tracker when it comes to officialization. But Steve Bliss emails me that submitting a mockup or even an unfinished part and voting NO, pointing (...) (23 years ago, 8-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: ldglite 0.9.4

Re: LDR - New LDraw File Extension
