  LDGLite bug report/feature request

Don: Some times, mostly when rendering large files, LDGLite reports syntax errors in lines with totally unreasonable line numbers. 1) Why? 2) Could you print out the content of the line as well, so I can try to find the offending lines (if there are (...)   Perspective in LDGLite (Was: About the great datsville)

Don: (...) Good to know. (...) I think they are called "look_at" and "location" in POV-Ray. (...) It would be fine if you could make something equivalent to: camera { sky <0, 0, 1> up <0, 1, 0> location <0, 0, 528> look_at <0, 0, 0> } in POV-Ray. I (...)   Re: About the great datsville

(...) It looks like both "-j" and "-J" turn on the perspective projection from the command line. Otherwise it defaults to the orthographic projection. However since this is apparently undocumented in the readme.txt file I reserve the right to change (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Need info help

Ahh. Well I did look around first, but didn't see where anyone had already modeled that piece. Last I looked was still listed on Tracker as being needed. I'm working on 're-creating' my lost (thanks to the ex-wife) LegoLand Castle collection in (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Datsville continuation - more ideas

(...) I don't know. That's why I asked. :o) I will try to render a lot of ttore.dat's in a model and compare the time used to the time used to render the same model with box replacements. (...) Yes, but how do we accomplish that still avoiding bad (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.ray)

Help Needed: Boundary Box Utility  [DAT]

Could somebody please make a utility that calculates and creates a boundary box for a .dat file? I want it to be able to take a DOS command line like "bbox.exe C:\Ldraw\Models.Mymodel.dat" and it should create 'MyModel.box' in the same directory. An (...)   Re: terrain in LDraw

Mike: (...) No. PGM is basically a "pure ASCII grey-scale only" version of BMP. You can find information and conversion tools at: (URL) PS - Do you have any screenshots? I noticed there weren't any on your website. "screenshots"?!? It is a command (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Datsville continuation - more ideas

(...) Doesn't POVray do this inately? After all, at some point POVray has to decide which information it will display, and which information it will not display. Wouldn't it speed up the rendering process even more if all LDraw models were turned (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Datsville continuation - more ideas

Here's a first working version of what I was thinking about: (URL) *.box files have to be in the P, Parts, Models, or LDraw BaseDirectory. The boxes.lst file has to be in the LDraw BaseDirectory. Will it make life easier for the POV-Ray engine? (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Need info help

I thought someone had already made one of these. It may not be "official" yet, however.   Re: Need info help

(...) Two suggestions 1. Learn how to cross post instead of posting multiple copies of the same post to different groups, it keeps the threads better organized. It is not hard to do and is very very useful. 2. Try to see if you can actually get a (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.castle)

  Need info help

Am working on modeling the Round Shield from the LEGOLAND Castle series. However, since I do not actually own such a piece, I don't know how big it actually is. It looks bigger than a 2x2 round, but I need some more info. Can anyone help? Mark C. (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  RFC: New game Legator

Hi, I baught LEGO Creator some time ago and liked it, mostly. I was surprised by the comfort, speed and fun of building. It was very similar to playing real LEGO. But it had a few major problems, namely: * Cannot tilt bricks * Small array of brick (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.games, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New Construction Toy In LDraw Format!

(...) Nope, sorry. The zip file downloads now, but it's corrupt. Did you forget to upload it in binary mode? The first image of the rubberband also still doesn't work. (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

How do you get the .PGM format? I have converted .DEM to .BMP before. Is it much different? Mike PS - Do you have any screenshots? I noticed there weren't any on your website. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New Construction Toy In LDraw Format!

(...) I believe I fixed the bugs. The image was desigated as a local file, and the zip file was incorrectly titled. And for anyone interested, the .dat file for the rubber-band gun can be found here: (URL) (23 years ago, 11-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)
