  Re: Another license draft

(...) That's fine -- keep the membership/feedback idea for later. (...) I was thinking more of memberships for people who would include themselves in 'the organization known as ldraw.org', not all LDraw users. But, whatever. :) Steve (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Stickers

[snipped ng list to lugnet.cad.dev] (...) My take on this is to make stickers this way: . Position the image horizontally at Y=-1 . Around the outside of the sticker, project a surface from Y=-1 to Y=1 . Make a blank surface, the same shape as the (...) (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Another license draft

(...) I second that... I feel a little funny rating my own apps... after all, if I didn't think it was a 5, I wouldn't have taken the time to write it... but that doesn't mean it stacks up in importance or quality compared to other programs. J (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Stickers

Hello Folks, I have to dig out this 'thread' again. I don't know if Joachim fixed his problem so I ask only on my side of the problem. Could I submit stickers for the vote? They are not fixed to a brick etc but behave like a brick ... you can attach (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.ideas, lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Another license draft

(...) Cool. One advantage to having ldraw.org 'memberships' would be the ability of users to provide feedback on software. Especially the ratings. Comments would be nice, but I'd want comments to be reviewed (not necessarily by the software authors) (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Wanted: Programmer(s)

Forget it, i completely forgot about copyright infringements. But i still want programmers to help me create an engine, just not with the .DAT system, so i'll have to just find some other forum... (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Wanted: Programmer(s)

Anybody who is willing to help me would be great. I don't really care what you program, but C/C++ would be nice, VB, Java would be excellent, and a good knowledge of the .DAT file system associated with the LDraw stuff. What I'm doing (to let you (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Another license draft

Re: what should I call this part

(...) Well, for one thing, the term "liftarm" is highly ambiguous. For example, there are 17 different elements labeled "Technic Liftarm" in the Partsref: (URL) of those aren't really liftarms, but it's a category. Maybe it fits in there, but IMHO (...)   Re: Is there a problem with part #6629?

(...) file 6629.dat. It looks consistent to me, each peghole on the short arm has an offset of x=16 and y=12, relative to the previous hole. These ofsets follow the rule of Pythagoras, with the (in)famous 3:4:5 ratio of the 3 sides of the triangle. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Is there a problem with part #6629?

I'm working with part #6629 (technic arm 1x9 with 1 bend) and have come across someting that has be perplexed. Please take a look. Hopefully I've given enough info to decipher the problem. (URL) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Question: what order to search directories

I have LDView look for dat files in the current directory, and the ldraw parts, p, and models directories (not in that order, I don't think). Is there an official order that these should be checked in, and if so, what is it? --Travis Cobbs (...) (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
