I'm planning on updating the main page of the site with a paragraph or two
about the license drafting, with links to the threads on Lugnet. All I gotta
do now is write it and figure out MindTerm to access the server (there's been
some accessibility changes recently). But yes, I agree with Steve and Larry,
and also feel that we need to push on with this and get it done. Perhaps
there should be a new section of the site defining organizations and facets of
LCAD as well.
Also, Dan Boger had graciously agreed to help program a CGI backend for a
system to manage program authors and allow them to update their own download
pages :D That will make software updates on the site a TON faster - since it
doesn't have to go through lazy me to get up. I'll be working with him to get
this in place sometime in the future.
Next weekend is a big (4 day) break for me - so I'll try to push on with some
LCAD business then, as well as try to get MIBO fixed and maybe put on display
at TCS.

| (...) Cool. One advantage to having ldraw.org 'memberships' would be the ability of users to provide feedback on software. Especially the ratings. Comments would be nice, but I'd want comments to be reviewed (not necessarily by the software authors) (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
