Re: url for the parts tracker?

(...) I get your point, but something as necessary as the parts tracker should at least contain visible links to ldraw.org, if not be hosted there. -Tim Courtney ldraw.org Project Coordinator (URL) timcourtne ICQ: 23951114 (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: OMR Model Creation/Submission Rules

(...) Correct. Allowing mockups would cause confusion and inconsistency throughout the repository. Comment out the parts that do not exist and leave the part blank. -Tim Courtney ldraw.org Project Coordinator (URL) timcourtne ICQ: 23951114 (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) without the ghost (...) and the " 0 " NO. NO MOCK-UPS ARE ALLOWED. It doesn't matter wether or not they are commented or not. We decided to use only pieces that are 'official', parts that everyone has. Ryan (25 years ago, 24-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: OMR Model Creation/Submission Rules

Re: can we please work out what to do about the black castle wall pieces?

(...) That was the the ones with the light gray stones, correct? As opposed to the dark gray stones we now have. So, if we make a #16 version of the wall with light gray (#7) stones, the stones would not normally be visible. This would be a little (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: url for the parts tracker?

(...) Just link to it! I understand that you want to have a standard style across the LDraw resources. And ldraw.org should always be willing to host LDraw-related content (utilities, information, etc) for anyone who wants to contribute it. But just (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDAO Suggestion Mark 2

(...) I agree with you, but the advantage of the 'virtual folder' approach is that it would continue to work with LDraw, without any weird sub-directory references needed in multi-file models. Which brings me back to my original idea of having LDAO (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDAO Suggestion Mark 2

(...) As I understand Jamie's idea, all model DAT's are physically stored in the /models directory. So you could only have one Ship1.dat. When you tried to create a second file with the same name, the software should warn you. Steve (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: LDAO Suggestion Mark 2

I'm gonna butt in here and say that I would prefer having actual folders to store different themes in. Say an actual folder for space, etc. I would prefer that over a flooded /models folder. Just my $.02 Ryan ***...*** REPLY SEPARATOR ***...*** (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: IMPORTANT - [ldraw.org] Software Download Templates

Tim, Sorry I haven't tackled the template pages for any of my utilities. I've got just a couple of comments: 1. The author of a utility should not rate the utility. If you want reviews, get other people to do them. Which isn't a bad idea--get a few (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

I believe.that it would work anyway, because its: link-dat-dat (a link goes to a dat which has a dat inside) for what he wants, not: dat-link-dat (a dat goes to a link which should be resolved to a dat).
