Why not call the current helment Minifig Helmet (which is what it is now) and call the classic helment Minifig Helmet Old with Thin/Thick Chinstrap (22 years ago, 12-Dec-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary)

(...) The single-character suffixes are used, not because parts have multiple versions, but because different parts sometimes have the same number. Noticed a few odd things about the Minifig Helmets on the Parts Tracker a few weeks ago (URL) first thing I noticed is that the newer version of the original helmet (the thick chinstrap version) has been assigned the new 3DN 593. (...) I really would prefer that the origin be plugin compatible with 193 just like Minifig Helmet and Visor. It may be a little inconvient to rotate but it's consistant with official part and lends to easily throwing together a Minifig using this (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jul-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Here's the initial version of a compatibility wrapper, allowing you to easily use parts from Anton Raves' POV-Ray library in L3P-generated model files. (...) That's because LDView only smooths files that it thinks are parts. You can convince LDView that it is a part either by puting it in the parts directory, or including a directive such as "0 Unofficial Part" as a line in the file. Presumably, (...) (...) Hi Willy, I have loaded both 193 and 193b in LDView. Both have conditionnal lines. There is a difference however: 193b is smoothed by LDView yet 193 is not smoothed. Quite strange. Great work anyway, Damien (22 years ago, 10-May-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Hello, I wanted to let you all know I have receintly posted a few "new" parts to the Parts Tracker. The names are not set in stone yet, but I have tried to keep them grouped with other like items.
