  Re: x210c01 ChromeSilver Drill 4 x 4 x 7

(...) I do not understand correctly what you are saying. If you use a cone primitive you can stretch it in all direction. There is no need to use "about 40 cones". A maximum of 10 should do the same! You should use for this the program "cones and (...) (16 years ago, 12-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: x210c01 ChromeSilver Drill 4 x 4 x 7

(...) Just to refresh my memory ( I haven't done any parts since 2951) The 48 primitives divide a circle in 48 straight lines, right? That would for a 60 LDU diameter mean that each straight line is approx 4 LDU's long, so using coneshapes each 4 (...) (16 years ago, 11-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: x210c01 ChromeSilver Drill 4 x 4 x 7

(...) None I know... (...) The official way is to ask a number to a LDraw admin. That said there are numerous parts on tracker named px... (would be px210c01 here) (...) Yes you should be able to use stacked cone primitives. As Travis suggested the (...) (16 years ago, 11-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: x210c01 ChromeSilver Drill 4 x 4 x 7

(...) If you do find a way to use primitives, you'll probably need to use the \48 ones. I don't think 16 segments is enough for the thicker part of the drill, and switching from one resolution to another part-way along seems like it would be tricky. (...)   x210c01 ChromeSilver Drill 4 x 4 x 7

Has anyone been working on this? I used the Peeron partnumber, would that be correct? I have determined that the shape of the "body" of the drill is extremely close to 5+(x+3)^(1/1.58), does any primitives exist that are useable for such a curved (...)   Re: LSC-ratified change to sticker spec

(...) Sorry about that. What I meant to say was "sides and back", not "sides and edges". My bad. --Travis (16 years ago, 18-Nov-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: LSC-ratified change to sticker spec

(...) Due to a current conversation I want to mention that not only the sides of the sticker should have the predominant color but also the backside of the sticker. Please read the complete sticker spec for official parts! cu mikeheide (16 years ago, 17-Nov-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  LSC-ratified change to sticker spec

The LSC just ratified and made changes to the (URL) sticker spec for official parts>. There were two main changes, and one minor change to accommodate one of the main changes: The transparent portion of clear stickers should now be modeled in color (...)   Re: Is anyone working on 32745?

(...) Gosh. I forgot this thread. I have been working on this part for some time now, and I have a few things done (mainly the rear half, I was going to work on front part). I hope I have not duplicated too much of your work. Could you keep me in (...) (16 years ago, 7-Nov-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Part 57792 sans spiral

(...) Really good work, but please use 16 or 48 for the cylinder and do not combine both, as this results in visible gaps. cu mikeheide (16 years ago, 21-Oct-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Part 57792 sans spiral

Hi all, Just letting people know I've done most of 57792 but not the internal spiral (which is why I've not uploaded it). I'll probably try to add it sometime but in the meantime I thought I'd upload what I've done to save duplication and provide (...) (16 years ago, 21-Oct-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Looking for part - Hinge Arm 2x2x6

Looking for part - Hinge Arm 2x2x6

Hi.. I'm trying to see if the .DAT file exists for the following part: Hinge Arm 2x2x6 with click rotation socket and black pin (Peeron lists as x514c01) I have not been able to find a part number on the part itself. I am working on an animation (...) (16 years ago, 5-Oct-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Slope Brick 1x1

(...) I agree. So both LDraw and Peeron should change the name. I see that the name has been changed allready on the partstracker of both part 50746 and 54200. What is the official LEGO name for the part or doesn't LEGO name it's parts anyway? Do (...) (16 years ago, 1-Oct-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
