  Re: Minifig pirate hook hand

(...) I want to clean up the file, and take advantage of all these new cone primitives that didn't exist when I first encoded this part. But I need an "orange slice" (as I think of it) to join each pair of cone segments to be used for the hook (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Minifig pirate hook hand  [DAT]

(...) You can't do it with a quarter sphere (because one quarter shears the wrong way (but with an 8th sphere you can shear y and z for movements in x. X is your pole of rotation. This one shears y and z by 0.2 and scales them by 0.5 to give a nice (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Minifig pirate hook hand

(...) Strictly speaking, (assuming I understand you correctly) you can't do this. As you 'squish' the primitive, the angle will change slightly, but it's kinda like the tangent angle is the last to change - by the time you switch it significantly (...)   Re: Minifig pirate hook hand

...And since we've released an entirely new version of the Minifig Hand since I first posted that file, I need to completely re-orient the Hook. BTW, along these lines, I've been meaning to ask something. I need to "squish" a quarter sphere (i.e. (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 6-stud road baseplates with dark grey road pattern parts

Thanks for the responses Chris. (...) Yes they are embossed into the underside - but if you want me to model those I cry ;-) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Yes, Franklin Cain is working on this, but it's in a held state on the Parts Tracker (URL) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2004 Collection

(...) Hi Willy, did you ever try to post these minigfigs on brickshelf? Could be interesting to see what the censorship will do... Great work btw. Sven (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Minifig pirate hook hand

Is anyone working on this part, or is there an unofficial one anywhere? Thanks Tim (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 6-stud road baseplates with dark grey road pattern parts

(...) Whilst there is probably a unique TLC number for decorated parts, the LDraw convention is to use a Pxx suffix to the part number, based on the ranges of Pxx numbers documented at (URL) In this case p01 is appropriate. I'm assuming that the (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 6-stud road baseplates with dark grey road pattern parts

As I'm almost in a position to upload these 3 road plates to the parts tracker I have a few questions 1) what are the correct part numbers? 44336p01/44342p01/44341p01 or some other identifier to indicate a patterned part? (There is another variant (...) (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2004 Collection

(...) A very unique idea, quite interesting! I would suggest splitting the file in half though and then making it a subpart so that the left side mirrors the right. This would have the nice benefit of reducing file size by nearly 50% (20 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Advise on Flex tubing and Pneumatic hoses

I have been making the custom length flex tubing (using 75.dat and 76.dat) for a while, I normally crate the length I want save it for future use as, for exampl 75_12.dat and import it into my model as a subpart to allow for use of the .mpd on other (...) hi Niels, about my comment on part x242: it is not significant, i will review the part again and "certify" it if no problem found. about my hold vote on part x242c01: i apologize, eventual change of the axle color is an admin concern, thus my hold (...)   Review notes on wheels x242.dat

Since I can't reply on the PT to review notes, I'll reply here. First of all, about part x242 "~Wheel Spoked for Metal Pin" (...) What exactly do you mean? I based the axle hole of this wheel mostly on the existing wheel 7039.dat since both wheels (...) (20 years ago, 21-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
