  Re: Subfiles - Question

The the following Lugnet post and the follow-on reply. I think it gives a pretty good discussion of subparts vs. inlineing. (URL) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) OK, done. I have rotated it 90 degrees and submitted the file to the Tracker. As I don't know whether is OK or not to submit other people's parts, I added a note telling this, just to have the proceeding tried in a pilot case. /Tore (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Subfiles - Question

Hello, Can someone tell me what the criteria is to create a subpart, instead of copying the whole code and rotate it a few times? I'm creating the 32087.dat file (see previous message or goto : (URL) ) and can tear the main file into different (...) (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  32087.dat - Train Track Cross

Hi, For the Train freeks, there's something comming up. For a preview, goto : (URL) still have some work to do, but it gives you a perview from what it's gone be. Regards, Ludo (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) The part definitely hasn't been made official yet. A quick check on the parts tracker doesn't turn up a file either. If you want to finish this and submit it, that would be Very Cool. :) Steve (23 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) Some bases are correctly lined up, some aren't. I agree with Steve here, it sohould be rotated. Has this part been officialed yet? (...) Thanks for reposting this, Chris. I've stuck in some comments below. (...) OK, I *totally* don't remember that. (...) I forgot to mention... 1. The green is the intended starting point, and the red is the intended ending point. 2. The tubing is 4 LDraw units in diameter. Thanks, Franklin (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  I need help!  [DAT]

Hi! I need some help writing the DAT code for a curving tube. Here's the DAT code to show the placement (the start point, and midpoints, and the end point).   Re: Part numbers

(...) I'd heard about that, but I'd forgotten the second number existed! (...) Yes, there are other parts with multiple numbers, for various reasons. In the most recent parts update, we released 4 "cross-reference" part files. This was our first (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: x744.dat - Technic Gear 42 Tooth

(...) One of the main limitations (bugs?) in L3Lab is that it assumes the main file is BFC'able, whether it's marked that way or not. I think that comes from the assumption that the main file will generally be a model, and models are generally (...) (23 years ago, 20-Mar-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

In Progress: 30621.dat - Brick 12 x 2 with lots of stuff  [DAT]

Here's a part from the very popular ;o) Jack Stone set #4604. I will not have that much time to work on it in the near future. Anybody is free to finish it.   Re: New Part: x744.dat - Technic Gear 42 Tooth

The problem is I can't confirm postings with long lines while using webmail instead of the pop server I currently am unable to access.   Part numbers

Hi all, I have found at a 30117 - 'Panel 10 x 10 x 2&1/3 Quarter Saucer Top' the number 30320 (it's a transp. light green one).   3867 Baseplate 16 x 16 with Island Pattern  [DAT]

I decided to try to create a patterned piece that was missing for ldraw, so here is the island baseplate seen in a couple of Pirate sets.
