  New Part : x792c01 - Brick 2 x 2 with Flexible Arm Holder - Type 1  [DAT]

Here is one version of the Classic Space bendy-arm holder as an MPD file. The upper and lower parts have been modelled separately, but are combined here (hiding much if the intricate authoring !). If you want to split this up, beware that there is a (...) (23 years ago, 10-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

"33" Slope Shocker... Possible name change?

Greetings. I have made a new discovery that may seem all too obvious to everyone else who has actually programmed elements in LDraw or MLCAD. My discovery is as follows: All bricks listed as having a 33-degree slope are not named with correct (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)

  Does this part exist?

Hey all... Not even sure what to call this. Look at the back end of the 6771 Ogel Command Striker model...see the dark grey bits holding the flames in place? They're sort of like the old-style, red Expert Builder bushings, but on one end, instead of (...) (24 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  DAT/part number for 2 x 2 classic space trans-white radar/antenna from 452/894

Does anyone have the part number / corresponding DAT (if it is not already in the official parts releases) of the 2 x 2 classic space trans-white radar/antenna/shield from 452/894 (Mobile) Tracking Station? Thanks, Matt (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Updated part: Tile 2x2 with Explorien Pattern  [DAT]

(...) I agree with Steve. This Exploriens tile is better than the first one. But vectorized (coordinate-based) patterns display better than rasterized (pixel-based) ones. That is why I still have not completed my road sign "highway marker" pattern. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Updated part: Tile 2x2 with Explorien Pattern

(...) In general, it's OK for me. I never mind someone coming up with better versions of files I did. And this file looks better than the original! But (also in general), BMP2DAT is not the way to go with patterns. DAT just doesn't handle raster (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

30086 (and 30087) 'Rubber' Dinghy  [DAT]

In lugnet.cad, Jonathan asked about this file, so here it is. This is in MPD format, some programs will require you to split it to separate DAT files before using it. Note: this file actually models two separate parts. 30086 is the bottom of the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Updated part: Tile 2x2 with Explorien Pattern

Hello Scott, OK.. i do the following steps: 1) First I scan the part at a high resolution and load it into Corel Photopaint. 2) I crop it so the relations of width and height are right. 3) I count the colors of the lego part and let Photopaint (...)   Re: Updated part: Tile 2x2 with Explorien Pattern

Not a bad job Cartsen. What resolution did you scan at? And what settings did you use in BMP-2-Dat32? I tried to do that big round plate form Nawhonics' pod and the file was sooooo huge. It was funny how long it took to calculate too. Hehe, but, (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Updated part: Tile 2x2 with Explorien Pattern  [DAT]

Hello! I allowed myself to update that part. Original was made by Steve Bliss. I rescanned the image, squeezed it through BMP-2-Dat32 and voilà... Look at the result by yourself. At higher quality the part has an even smaller file size than the (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: liftarm 3 X 5 , D'OH!!!

(...) Oh, bugger! Well, I guess I at least managed to reduce file size considerably, perhaps I'll use the new subpart to reduce the other liftarm pieces as well. (24 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: liftarm 3 X 5 , number UNKNOWN

You did a great job Mark. But, this part has already been made. It is part number 153 and part of the Official LCAD Part - 2000-02 Update. But, keep up the great work!!! Later, Scott (...) (24 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Fredrik, Well, I just firgured out how to use the circular pieces, but I don't know how to get them to make elipse-like objects. I need to lern how to do that though.   Re: Stickers

(...) You know that you can use circular edges, cylinders and discs, and scale them by one coordinate to obtain elipse-like objects? I dunno if this helps? Fredrik (24 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Stickers

I agree with you completely! I wish we could just use bit maps for the pattern pieces. We can always wish. I would like to have the ability to use elipses too. I think that would really make a big difference. Never know, it could happen! Regards, (...) (24 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
