  Re: More Moonbase Madness ...

Thanks. I'll have to give it a try and see how it looks that way : ) (...) (21 years ago, 2-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Moonbase Observatory

Ooh, very VERY cool. I love the shape and the windows you used. Very nice- a cool distinctive part of a moonbase. Less war, more science! :) (...) You'd be suprised. I've seen models equally good that have gotton no feedback at all. -JHK (21 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.space)

  Re: Moonbase Observatory

(...) Wow, two hours have passed and no one else commented on this yet? Well I think it is a great model. Actually when I read the subject of the post I immediately began running through ideas of how I might build a deep space telescope into a (...)   Re: More Moonbase Madness ...

These are all very cool and well thought of! I am absolutely stunned about the Pyramid thing (URL) you should use straight regular bricks though to give it a more Egyptian kind of look! I am also trying some more moonbase stuff after the (...) (21 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts

(...) Ok, but I just tested flat.dat with ldlite 2.3 and your command line: ldlite.exe -W2 -MS -S3.0 -C15 -A0.707104,0,0.70710...-0.650895, 0.390731,0.650895 -D1 -U02500,02500 -I-4 -K flat.dat It worked just fine on Win2K with only 192MB. However, I (...) (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts

(...) I am viewing them at full scale. It's related to the size of the work area, I'm pretty sure, rather than the resolution they're viewed at. 4000x4000 is a pretty good sized chunk of memory, I expect. Gyug sent me a note, he's looking into it. (21 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts

(...) How are you viewing the resulting image files? Have you looked at them at full scale? Your problem may be aliasing in the resampling of the images when viewed at reduced scale, and not a problem in ldlite. Check with Jacob for tips on how to (...)   Re: Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?

(...) I do this sometimes to show the part rendered from a different angle to make it clear what part is being attached... usually it's an assembly of more than one part but not always. (21 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

  More Moonbase Madness ...

OK, I just spent 12 hours using MLCAD to create a whole bunch of Moonbase corridors, adapters, and inter-connection modules.   Re: Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?

(...) L3P has a bug with part colors when there is a single part in a sub-file. In this case, you need to ask yourself why you have this case. It seems overkill to have side.ldr with just one part in it. None the less, it is a bug in L3P. (...) LPub (...) (21 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

Color problem- is this a bug in L3P?  [DAT]

The attached .mpd file is showing a weird problem with colors when run through L3P and rendered in POV-Ray. There is a subfile that contains a single part. In there, the part's color is set to trans-red (Color36). The parent file sets it to black (...) (21 years ago, 25-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.ray)

  MoonBase Corridor 2.0 ?  [DAT]
