I'm not really sure what part you mean by "steering gear". What part
of 8880 should i look for it?

| (...) The white thing with two ball joints to which you connect the wheels. Look at the point where you connect the rack; is it a cross axle hole or an ordinary technic hole? Also, look at the pictures on the box (inside the cover, I think). Notice (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) :-) I just noticed, BTW, that the one I have which is the way Jessiman drew it, is from the 8857 Street Chopper. (URL) the oldest Technic set I have with an axle joiner, so I guess all sets from 1993 and backwards have this version. The 8880 (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)
