So far, no one has set color codes for the newer colors.
You should try different colors, and use one you like.
Some you might try:
12 - this is light-red (or salmon) in LDraw, LDLite, and MLCAD. It's
supposed to be a color out of Scala, but it's somewhat vaguely like Sand
Red. Unfortunately, it comes out orange in L3Lab.
335 - In LDLite, this dithered color looks like a decent approximation of
Sand Red.
472 - This is literally red + gray dithered together, so it's logical that
it would be a good choice. Unfortunately, it doesn't look so good in LDLite.
500, 508 - some other shades.
Also, check www.baseplate.com/colors to get the actual RGB value for Sand
Red. Once you've got that, you could use LDLite's COLOR statement to define
your own Sand Red. Some program will recognize the COLOR statement, some won't.
HTH, sorry I didn't have a simple answer for you.

| Mike and Steve: Please write me, when you decide which colour number is apropriate for "sand red", so I can update the colour list in the LDraw FAQ. Play well, Jacob -- (URL) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.cad)
