The biggest thing added in this release from the standpoint of
implementation difficulty is sphere substitution. (Note that my sphere
substitution produces a sphere with a different set of polygons than the
standard sphere. I checked the existing part files which use the sphere
primitive, and did not notice any problems.) There were a few other new
features and bug fixes added to this release as well.
I believe that LDView has now reached the point that it is almost ready to
be declared version 1.0. I have numbered this release v0.9 accordingly.
(There certainly weren't enough changes from 0.7.5 to warrant such a jump.)
There will be no major new features between now and version 1.0 (and
possibly no new features at all). I will be concentrating on tracking down
and fixing any bugs.
As a consequence, PLEASE let me know if you run into any problems. I would
like for the 1.0 release when it arrives to have as few bugs as possible.
If you do have any bugs--or feature requests--to report, please either
report them to me directly in e-mail, or reply to this message in the
lugnet.cad.dev group only. Note that while any requested features are
unlikely to make it into 1.0, I'm always open to suggestions, and may add
them into some later version.

| (...) Couple of feature requests: 1. Have it accept model files when launching. You know, pass the filename to the program as it starts. This would make for an excellent viewer when added to the right-click menu in explorer. And it could also be (...) (24 years ago, 26-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev)

| (...) Hello, It works great for me so far... Is there any chance of getting a high-res (48pt) 1-4cyls and 1-4cyls2 substitutions in there?
