Hello,
It works great for me so far...  Is there any chance of getting a high-res
(48pt) 1-4cyls and 1-4cyls2 substitutions in there? I am working on the
primitive files, also working on a torus generation spread sheet. See my • todo
(inprocess) page for some pictures.

I'm pretty sure you're asking for an option to use the files in th 48
subdirectory; is this correct?  I'm definitely going to add the ability to
do higher-res substitutions with my primitive substitution code (probably
not in 1.0, since it really needs more of the primitives--such as the
ndisks--to be generated), but you just want the primitives out of the 48
subdirectory to be displayed, right?  This should be easy to add, so I
probably will, but with my programatic primitive substitution, I would think
it would be of limited value to most users.  I suppose if you selected both
the 48 option and the substitute option, I could generate 48-level primitive
substitutions and use the files in the 48 subdir for the ones I don't
generate.

Sounds good.  I may be jumping the gun just a bit on this one. So far I do not
have any "real" parts that use these primitives yet. So there is no rush on it.
Although, I could see them being used if available. I have started to use the
Hi-res primitives before when I noticed the lack of the ones needed.

Also, if you want, I think I can send you files containing all the quads for
the 1-4cyls, 1-4cyls2, and torus primitives with a 48-subdivision
tesselation.  They won't have the type-5 lines, though, so you might find it
easier to generate them yourself.  I could also send you the procedure I
used to generate them, which might make the spreadsheet easier.  Let me know
if you're interested in either the DAT files or the procedures.

Again, sounds good, send me any info you wish, anything would be useful. I
have learned a great deal of Excel doing the current project spreadsheets.

Also, is there any way to add file polling? I use it with L3lab and ldlite
all the time. Or at least a refresh(F5) key?

Let me look into it.  I can definitely add F5 refresh; in fact I'll probably
get that into 1.0, since it should be trivial.  When you change anything in
the "Model" box in Preferences, it already reloads the file from disk, so
simply reloading from a menu item is a no-brainer.

Cool!

Oh, per Terry's request, I mostly agree, I use the program in a windowed
size 95% of the time.

As I responded to him, it's supposed to remember the last state (normal or
maximized) and size of the window.  However, I interpreted "maximized" to
mean a maximized window, and not fullscreen mode.  He may have meant
fullscreen mode, in which case my response will not make much sense.  I may
provide an option in the future to start out in fullscreen mode, but I'm not
going to make it do so without the user specifically choosing some option.

I don't think I said quite what I meant, but you got the idea. I use LDView
mostly in a "small" windowed, non-maximized mode.

Thanks for all the hard work!

You're welcome.  Thanks for your comments and suggestions; they're greatly
appreciated.

:-)  Ok, got another..., Today I noticed while "playing" with LDView on a
computer without a scroll wheel, I couldn't change the zoom level. This is not
a new issue, but is there any way to use the "+", "-" (or some other
combination that makes sense) keys to change the zoom level?
