The 2010-02 LDraw parts update has been now been released.
This update includes 950 files in the core library, including 471 new parts, and
many more files updated with improvements for Back Face Culling support. A
further 10 parts have been redeveloped by authors who have affirmed the
Contributor Agreement, replacing files that were not redistributable.
Thanks are due to all the authors and reviewers who contributed to this release.
You can preview the new parts in 2010-02 and download the update by going to
http://www.ldraw.org/library/updates.
The 123 certified files currently on the LDraw Parts Tracker were held back from
this update in keeping our normal practice of not releasing new primitives or
subparts until they are needed for an official part file. There are another 440+
files waiting for admin review, many of which I hope can be included in the next
release within three months.
This is the largest update we have ever issued and it has made a substantial
impact on the backlog on the Parts Tracker
(http://www.ldraw.org/library/tracker/). However, we are increasingly dependent
upon a small number of authors and reviewers. I'd like to encourage any
inactive, yet experienced, LDraw reviewers to view this update as a continued
signal that the update process is still alive. Your renewed involvement would be
most welcome.

| First of all: once again thanks to all who made this possible. Very impressive update! The thing is now that my mklist does not create a new parts.lst file. I can choose between Number of Description. It starts counting x parts found, but no new (...) (14 years ago, 6-Jul-10, to lugnet.cad)

| Well done to everyone who's contributed to the parts update. Keep up the great work. I've just had a quick browse of the updated parts and I can already see a part I need for my Police Car model - (URL) is the preferred modeling tool for creating (...) (14 years ago, 12-Jul-10, to lugnet.cad)

| I'm a little confused about the installation procedure. Are the parts updates cumulative? I mean, do they contain all the parts of the previous updates, or do I have to install them in a particular order? The LDraw.org website doesn't explain this, (...) (14 years ago, 31-Jul-10, to lugnet.cad)
