Actually Lars is the real author. I’ve just done some minor updates because the LEDIT emulator in ldglite needs a parts.lst file.

By default mklist v1.6 widens the filename column to allow 21.3 filenames, with the result that the description now extends to column 90. This has been successfully tested with MLCad, but if you are using other or older applications, the legacy support options -8, -r and -t (see below) may be necessary.

For the one guy still using LEDIT (you know who you are) -8 is all you need. I assumed the only reason you’d want to DOS mangle the longer filenames is if you’re still using a DOS program, like LEDIT. So -8 overrides the other compatibility options and tries to produce a file similar to the original DOS mklist program.

Have fun,

Don
