LDraw Library Update 2008-01 is still posted only as a Windows executable.
Why is there not yet an universally-accessible zip file of its contents?

This appears to be the 2008-01 release:
http://www.ldraw.org/library/updates/complete.zip
This is the file thats linked to from the updates CGI that LDView uses for
automatic updates. See here:
http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptreleases.cgi
Note that the CGI hasnt been updated to reflect the fact that this is 2008-01
instead of 2005-01. However, the actual zip was definitely updated (which I
know because the new zip is no longer compatible with LDView; thats hopefully
going to be fixed soon with an updated complete.zip).

| (...) Chris has now changed the zip to include ldraw as part of the paths inside, instead of being rooted inside the ldraw directory, so it now works again with LDView's automatic library install. --Travis (16 years ago, 26-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
