Re: What do LDraw dev people use for multiplatform development

(...) Couple of reasons really: 1. Some of my customers are asking about the cost/timeframe of a non windows version of their software. 2. I think windows only software has had it best time, Linux is maturing quickly and Apple is gaining ground. 3. (...) (14 years ago, 27-May-10, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: What do LDraw dev people use for multiplatform development

(...) Why do you want to go multiplatform? Good thing that .NET is off the table! It's a pain for us users, too. /Tore (14 years ago, 27-May-10, to lugnet.cad.dev)

What do LDraw dev people use for multiplatform development

I all, I've been a Delphi programmer both private and work related for over 15 years , but I think it's time to take a dive in the multiplatform world. So in order to get the hang of things I decided to start a new LDraw application in means of a (...) (14 years ago, 27-May-10, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Are My Datsville Posts Off-topic?

(...) Your posts are on-topic. Actually, I've had this problem before from some of the robotics groups, where I get responses with the single word "unsubscribe" in them, so it might be more likely than you think. (14 years ago, 27-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Are My Datsville Posts Off-topic?

(...) I agree with Tim and Philippe, please do not stop. I would be willing to bet the emailer is looking for a way to unsubscribe rather than finding fault with your (quite topical) posts. (14 years ago, 25-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

Updates of LDraw tool for parts authors

I have updated several of my LDraw tool for parts authors: (URL) PlanarCheck>: corrected a bug that caused agressive rounding.   New LDraw tool for parts authors: SymSplitter

(2 URLs) SymSplitter> is the tool of choice when you want to exploit symmetries in a LDraw file to reduce its size. You may use it to separate left/right/middle parts, cut parts by planes, and adjust vertices coordinates to make sure they lie (...) (14 years ago, 25-May-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Are My Datsville Posts Off-topic?

--snip-- (...) Strange. I think they're perfectly on topic. You are discussing CAD issues of models in the DAT format. I can't think of a better place for them. The whole point of having a discussion tree format is that things can be put in the (...) (14 years ago, 24-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Are My Datsville Posts Off-topic?

As a response to my post "Understanding the Datsville Coordinates", I today recieved an e-mail from Austria (I think), requesting me to "Please Stopp emails to lugnet.cad.dat.model...lugnet.com !!!!!!!" Now, I'm not sure how to interpret that. (...) (14 years ago, 24-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Understanding the Datsville Coordinates

(...) Thanks for the response. I know you're right; it's normal behaviour for coordinate systems. But I guess I'm not normal. :) For some reason, I have no problems with the y axis, despite it goes the wrong way. Probably because you always know (...)   Re: Understanding the Datsville Coordinates

(...) Thats normal behavior in each coordinate system. My problem is more the y axis in LDraw that it decreases if it is higher! But thanks for that information. I am sure it will help in some cases. cu mikeheide (14 years ago, 24-May-10, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Understanding the Datsville Coordinates

After almost 11 years of dealing with Datsville, I still find the coordinate system confusing. This picture may help to understand a little. (URL) yellow line is the z axis at x=0. The white represents the x axis at z=0. The further upper left, the (...) (14 years ago, 23-May-10, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: *** MLCad V3.30 *** new feature request

(...) That would be a great enhencement for MLCad and it should be possible. But I do not know how many hours Michael L. has to spend for that. If you want to try another application please try SR3DBuilder. As fas as I can see the required feature (...) (14 years ago, 23-May-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: *** MLCad V3.30 *** new feature request

Hi, This is something that's been bugging me for a while, but since MLCAD is free software and very useful even without this feature, I haven't made much of a fuss about it. However, I thought I'd throw it out here so others can comment on it and so (...) (14 years ago, 22-May-10, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Looking for LDraw file and/or instructions
