Are My Datsville Posts Off-topic?

As a response to my post "Understanding the Datsville Coordinates", I today
recieved an e-mail from Austria (I think), requesting me to "Please Stopp emails
to lugnet.cad.dat.models@lugnet.com !!!!!!!"

Now, I'm not sure how to interpret that.

Either he finds my posts off-topic, which I don't. Well, maybe the latest about
the coordinates are slightly off-topic, but still not completely IMHO. Datsville
is a "model" of Lego MOCs in LDraw dat format for CAD purposes. Where if not in
lugnet.cad.dat.models would I post the news updates and progress reports?

Or, he wishes to unsubscribe from the e-mail notifications and thinks I'm a
Lugnet admin. But I believe that's less likely.

I notice that my posts have been read a large number of times - even after
taking into consideration the numerous times I myself have returned to them. I
take it as there is a severe interest in the Datsville project after all, and
not just to me and Mike(?) The current Datsville thread consists of 19 messages
since the first one posted in October '06, so you can't say it's a matter of
flooding either.

What do you think? Should I stop posting the Datsville newsflashes to
cad.dat.models? If there are more Lugnet readers who find them off-topic, I will
of course stop posting them there.

/Tore

--snip-- (...) Strange. I think they're perfectly on topic. You are discussing CAD issues of models in the DAT format. I can't think of a better place for them. The whole point of having a discussion tree format is that things can be put in the (...) (14 years ago, 24-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Definitely on topic imho! And thanks for making this project live... Philo (14 years ago, 25-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

(...) I agree with Tim and Philippe, please do not stop. I would be willing to bet the emailer is looking for a way to unsubscribe rather than finding fault with your (quite topical) posts. (14 years ago, 25-May-10, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Your posts are on-topic. Actually, I've had this problem before from some of the robotics groups, where I get responses with the single word "unsubscribe" in them, so it might be more likely than you think. (14 years ago, 27-May-10, to lugnet.cad)
