  Re: MLCad.ini and Unofficial parts

(...) I have downloaded the latest MLCad.ini andThe scan order section is completely uncommented: [SCAN_ORDER] 1 = SHOW <LDRAWDIR>Parts 2 = HIDE <LDRAWDIR>P 3 = SHOW <LDRAWDIR>Unofficial\Parts 4 = HIDE <LDRAWDIR>Unofficial\P 5 = SHOW (...) (15 years ago, 1-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: MLCad.ini and Unofficial parts

(...) It is quite normal that MLCad complaints. As explained here: (URL) package with the unofficial files is updated every 3 minutes and includes also held files. You'll therefore also get parts like this: (URL) is an extraordinary part but has (...) (15 years ago, 1-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: DATHeader Update (The Reviewer Tool) Version 2.0.6

(...) My main source for names is Peeron and I use BL only if there is no Peeron reference. Nonetheless I don't think that naming should be automated: * Peeron has no limit on characters * It has no scheme for pattern, component parts, shortcuts, (...) (15 years ago, 1-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: DATHeader Update (The Reviewer Tool) Version 2.0.6

(...) You are right, but also with Peeron the above mentioned problems still exists. So using Peeron will not be an option either. cu mikeheide (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: MLCad.ini and Unofficial parts

(...) Please let us know how your [SCAN_ORDER] section in MLCad.ini looks like. I am sure we found your problem very fast. cu mikeheide (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: MLCad.ini and Unofficial parts

(...) I don't know what you're doing wrong, but MLCAD does NOT expect the unofficial parts to in parts.lst. It scans those folders at startup for parts. --Travis (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: DATHeader Update (The Reviewer Tool) Version 2.0.6

(...) I'm not going to try to convince you one way or another, but it seems to me that if you were to do something like this, Peeron would be a more logical choice as the source of the information, since Peeron and ldraw.org are much more closely (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

  MLCad.ini and Unofficial parts

I'm not sure if I'm missing something... I have a LDraw\Unofficial folder with all the unofficial parts and MLCad.ini with the lines corresponding to the location of those unofficial parts uncommented. I open MLCad, scan for new parts and write a (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) I think the best would be to make an upgrade to L3P for current standards, as it is the most used checking tool IMHO. Most of the technical hold reasons are already defined but not present at the mentioned page. I have tried to put all I saw (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: DATHeader Update (The Reviewer Tool) Version 2.0.6

(...) Thank you very much for your feedback. If you follow the discussions made on the parts tracker then you would see that the description that bricklink uses is not in every case a choice that pass the parts tracker certifying process. If ever, I (...) (15 years ago, 29-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: DATHeader Update (The Reviewer Tool) Version 2.0.6

Mike, I have yet to author any parts, but I did download DATHeader and give it a try. It looks like a great program with a lot of great features! There is one thing that I would like to request that you add to DATHeader. I'd like to see DATHeader (...) (15 years ago, 29-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

L3P -check Messages and hold votes

Hi folks, it appears that thanks to the hard work of the LSC the LDraw specs have undergone considerably changes.   LPub "Print to File" question

LPub is a nice little program but I'm not sure where to go for help. I've built a rather large set of instructions and want to render it as 20 inches by 13 inches but when I choose "Print to File" it "renders" each page blank and Adobe reader says (...) (15 years ago, 28-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Anton Raves Part Includes

(...) In response to my conversation with Tom Beattie concerning using Anton Raves' parts with L3P or LDView, I decided it would be a good idea to create a repository to hold the include files.   Re: LD4DStudio sample suggestions

(...) Thanks, actually I did cheat a bit. I made sure the cylinder heads are perpendicular to the crankShaft. With that in place the motion comes down to fairly basic geometry. First step is to calculate the pistonRound angle by reducing the whole (...) (15 years ago, 24-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LD4DStudio sample suggestions

(...) The linear portion of the crank is easy enough (rotation around fixed axis). But the connecting rods have to have one end stay connected to the crank and the other end stay coincident with the axis of a cylinder. This means they need both an (...)
