Re: Printing LPub instructions with Lulu.com

(...) Very cool--I love it! To be honest, it would never have occurred to me to use Lulu; I got as far as "I should try Kinkos," and that's where I sort of stalled. I have to say that the end results look amazingly professional and high-quality. (...) (16 years ago, 13-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.inst, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Setting the right rotation step

(...) Hi, Jaco. Try using an "absolute" rotstep in the callout submodel to specify exactly the angle you desire. For instance: 0 ROTSTEP 30 45 0 ABS Jim (16 years ago, 13-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: L3PAO 1.9 Beta

(...) Thanks Scott! I actually had msflxgrd.ocx allready in the system32 folder. Placing sysinfo.ocx there solved the problem even without rebooting! Jaco (16 years ago, 12-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Hollow axles actually not that hollow...

(...) If someone really wants to go to the trouble of making a cross-section, and knows how to do so, adding in the missing surfaces shouldn't be that big a deal, yes? (...) I'd say no. People are clearly already concerned with keeping file size as (...) (16 years ago, 7-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Hollow axles actually not that hollow...

"Travis Cobbs" <tcobbs@REMOVEgmail.com> wrote in message news:KG3zI9.Cno@lugnet.com... (...) The computer hasn't been programmed with a representation of "solid" for an internal representation of a LDRAW part, yet. But he brings up an interesting (...) (16 years ago, 7-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Hollow axles actually not that hollow...

It's a computer representation of the piece, it's not meant to show how it's actually constructed. -Stefan- (16 years ago, 7-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Hollow axles actually not that hollow...

LDraw parts are just a bunch of triangles, quads, and lines. There's no such concept as "solid". --Travis (16 years ago, 6-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Hollow axles actually not that hollow...

Looking through various LDraw files I've noticed that the axles that connect for example beams into ball joints are modelled hollow, like axle holes closed on all sides. However, I've broken various pieces over my years, this one being broken quite (...) (16 years ago, 6-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: LSynth 3 available on kclague.net

Re: LSynth 3 available on kclague.net

Re: LSynth 3 available on kclague.net

(...) Kevin, if they go into Unofficial no call for MKlist is required since MLCad and LDView load them anyway when the paths are set. At this point you might think about a <LDrawDIR>\LSynth or <LDrawDIR>\Unofficial\LSynth folder. People using (...) (16 years ago, 5-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LSynth 3 available on kclague.net

(...) You're welcome. One word of warning, though. QT probably uses the DLL version of the run-time library by default, so you need to make sure you build it to use the static version in addition to setting that option on the LPub project itself. (...) (16 years ago, 5-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)
