RE: 2006: bad year for LDraw parts

While there may be no official update, a huge amount of effort has gone on behind the scenes ... reduction of the number of held parts on the tracker from an all time high of 331 to the current 144 around 60 of the 100 non-CA parts have been (...) (18 years ago, 6-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

2006: bad year for LDraw parts

Hi, 2006 is almost done and there's still no Official LDraw parts release... I guess this year will end without any update to feed our MLCad :-( (18 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

  NXT sensor part updates

I did some updating of the unofficial NXT sensor parts. The light sensor now has the orange depression that the real sensor has. The sound sensor now has the horizontal holes in the nose that the real sensor has. I did minor mergining of some (...) (18 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Comments about James Mathis' Factory Sets

(...) Hi Ville, Wow, thanks for sharing all of that great feedback on these Factory sets. That's a lot of useful information for anyone considering these sets. You even provided pictures of the mods you made! When I suggested you provide some (...) (18 years ago, 5-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad.ldd)

Re: // Empty model errors in POV-Ray

(...) I haven't seen that problem with L3PAO myself. <advert> Personally, I dropped L3PAO a while ago and wrote a replacement, which IMO has a few more useful features and is slightly more up to date. L3PGen can be downloaded from: (URL) comments (...) (18 years ago, 3-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: TCLTC Layouts Rendered in Sketch-up

(...) It appears rippled because it is rippled in the photo from which it was taken. There was no intentional rippling (I think that's a 5 yard penalty and a loss of down!) JOHN (18 years ago, 4-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Any Interest in a Program for Creating/Editing Parts?

(...) Thanks for the updated links! The page listed in the earlier post appears to be out of date. (It has version 031 of LDS, and a broken link to your page.) It seems that there is a lot of great software already out there, which is not (...) (18 years ago, 4-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Any Interest in a Program for Creating/Editing Parts?

Re: Any Interest in a Program for Creating/Editing Parts?

I have a plugin for SketchUp that can create LDraw parts. It can use LDraw primitives and sub-parts, scale, move, and rotate them, and export a .dat file. Here's a page with some models I have imported: (URL) the page for the plugin, with some (...) (18 years ago, 4-Dec-06, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Comments about James Mathis' Factory Sets

(...) Hey, Sorry that it took this long to answer. Here is my personal opinion about Factory concept and three James Mathis’ sets I bought from Lego Factory. These comments are free to use and fill.   LDD Train Station MOC

Over the weekend, I designed a LEGO train station somewhat evocative of grand European stations using LEGO Digital Designer. The station has a rounded glass canopy and is large enough for a fairly tall (~12 bricks high) train to clear. The interior (...)   Re: TCLTC Layouts Rendered in Sketch-up

(...) This is definitely cool. It's a much clearer way to see the table layout than you can easily get from viewing a photo. I like the way the banners around the table look slightly rippled.
