Hi folks, I'm pleased to announce that Tim Gould has joined the site management team at LDraw.org as website coordinator and will give Orion and myself a helping hand creating and maintaining the pages on the site, manage voting for LDraw.org's (...)   LDraw Shark

Hi folks, Would anyone have a LDRAW part file for the Shark piece/pieces? I'm looking for the two piece dark grey shark, typically found in Divers or Aquazone sets. Calum (18 years ago, 31-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Making parts: circles

(...) This looks like it will work. Are the measurements in LDU's? I'm assuming they are, but I'd like to ask to be sure. How would I then turn it into a part sortable in MLCad? (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Making parts: circles

First I want to thank you all for helping. Second I need to clarify somethings in my original post: I'm looking to make MLCad usable rings of wire. What I was directed to was spot on, if I had asked for that sort of rings. That was my mistake, not (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: *** LDView Version 3.1 Beta 1 Released ***

(...) I think you are correct, as I have MLCad installed on a more or less removable hard drive and it works fine (except for asking me whether I want to associate files with MLCad). (18 years ago, 19-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Would this be Legal to do?

(...) Hi all, Many thanks for your replies. This project isn’t anything major. All it is an excel file that you can use as a template to update the parts tree list helping to arrange a display parts more neatly, categorised…. Then contents from the (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Would this be Legal to do?

(...) A very quick check with Google-- (URL) web page that isn't LDRAW.org (but has obvious links to same) that has it's own download package which includes the LDraw library. In my history with virtual LEGO bricks, I've stumbled across a few sites (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

(...) steve, you'll never get me to agree to this rounding - never ever ;-) (URL) daniel, 1 LDU = 0.015625 inch = 0.396875 mm or just use paul easter's lcad calculator at (URL) w. ps. I suggest to handle this over to the LSC. they can add it to the (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Would this be Legal to do?

(...) First, I am not a lawyer. Are you sure, I thought the Official parts were under the OPL: (URL) would be a real blow to know that the community effort on parts was then boxed up and the community denied the right to redistribute and modify (two (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Making parts: circles

(...) The primitive generator ((URL) can also be used to create rings of any inner diameter. Generated rings (as opposed to edges) always have a width of 1LDU, so a ring with an inner diameter of 8LDU has an outer diameter of 9LDU. While this seems (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Making parts: circles

(...) I'm not sure there's one place to go for help. You should probably start by reading the LDraw file format spec on ldraw.org. After that, you pretty much need to dive in and start playing around with some files. However, I can tell you that 1 (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Making parts: circles

I apologize if this is a oft asked question: but where is the best place to learn how to create a non-official part? I'm specifically looking to make rings of specific inch/mm sizes. What I found on LDraw seemed to go over my head, nor can I figure (...) (18 years ago, 29-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Would this be Legal to do?

Well actually... You could legally include a copy of the ldraw parts archive that pre-dates the license that all the authors had to agree to and then have your install script look for newer parts, if it detects an Internet connection... (...) (18 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Would this be Legal to do?

I am working on a project for MLCad, which makes viewing and finding parts easier. I would like my work to be available for people to download, but it requires Ldraw, MLCad and official Ldraw parts files to be downloaded in a package. I would like (...) (18 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Looking for Star Wars Base Plate

(...) If anyone has one of the cards that came with this baseplate/stand handy, would you mind posting the dimensions? I can't get to mine right now to measure, and I can't tell from bricklink just how tall they are. Thanks, Andy (18 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)
