  Unofficial LDraw parts for NXT

Thanks to the work of several parts authors (Kevin Clague, Steve Bliss, Matthias Paul Scholz and myself) who were in Mindstorms Developer Program, mockups of NXT parts were modelled in LDraw. With the authorization of these authors, I have gathered (...) (18 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Updating LDraw's History

Bricksmith for Mac is a pretty big landmark for Mac users. Aug 2005 The first ldraw/povray animation rendered with Xgrid was made in Feb 2004... ;) ((URL) povray_lan.mp4) And there was the G4 Screensavers presentation by Tim in Oct 2004. James (...)   Updating LDraw's History

hi folks, reading the new brickjournal Ldraw's history ends in 2003. 2003! ... hang on ... the history at the site even stops in 2001!!! (URL) down ... "Note: The LDraw History document is far from complete. If you recall anything of significance (...) (18 years ago, 7-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad)

  Re: New parts and update?

(...) Right. I my self am putting in some effort to contact Dutch authors right now and have located a few with the help of some Dutch LEGO forum readers! Jaco (18 years ago, 6-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: LPub 2.4.8.0 available

(...) However I got LDView working fine and much prefer its output to that of ldglite so I would be sad if it went away ;) (...) Agreed. Perhaps a warning on the LDView that it has troubles on some systems. Tim (18 years ago, 6-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.4.8.0 available

(...) But of course. I simply thought I'd trow out some ideas. (...) Due to a harddrive problem underway and my relative inexperience with C, I was unable to do any work on LPub. I haven't been able to sync with the current CVS version but I'll make (...) (18 years ago, 6-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: List of authors who have not yet affirmed the LDraw.org Contributor Agreement

(...) Googling his name I found fredrikg(AT)ifi.uio.no Tim (18 years ago, 6-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: List of authors who have not yet affirmed the LDraw.org Contributor Agreement

(...) You might try fredrigl as the username instead of glockner. I'm assuming you've tried fredrigl at math.uio.no, since that's the email address that he posted here under. You might also try folk.uio.no, www.math.uio.no, mail.uio.no and uio.no as (...) (18 years ago, 6-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

Re: List of authors who have not yet affirmed the LDraw.org Contributor Agreement

(...) tanks to many helping hands we made substantial progress in shorting the list (did you notice that Steffen with his incredible number of 234 authored parts is no longer on the list?). I updated the chart accordingly. please have a look and (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

  Re: New parts and update?

(...) The delay is related to the Contributor Agreement, insofar as I want to split the library between CA-authored (and thus redistributable) parts and non-CA-authored parts, before issuing the next update. Another recent attempt to locate past (...) (18 years ago, 5-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: LPub 2.4.8.0 available

(...) If you'd like a quick clean install of the parts library, you can test out the new LDView feature that does this for you automatically. All you need to do is rename your existing LDraw directory (so LDView won't find it), then run the (...) (18 years ago, 4-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.4.8.0 available

(...) Well FWIW I never got LDview working with LPub. I get a windows error when it tries to execute. But the results I'm getting with ldglite are now good enough that I didn't continue trying. (...) I agree. The Povray options are all pretty neatly (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.4.8.0 available

(...) We are still a team aren't we? Hmmmm...... in your absence I have made some changes related to PLI, and Layout, so we'll have to reconoiter. I fixed a number of memory leaks also. I could see LPub having a "just building instructions" mode, (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.4.8.0 available

(...) I can definitely answer "yes" to this one. Probably 90 - 95% of my CAD work is driven by the need to create instructions. I've worked with LPub and POV-Ray (and MEGA POV-Ray) for a couple of years now. But as noted elsewhere I'm really trying (...) (18 years ago, 3-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad)
