(...) I thought of that, but liked the idea of more descriptive names, like the rect*.dat series. The '1' would in this case stand for number of discs, and '2' for number of edges. (...) Any error or warning in LDView can be disabled simply by unchecking the appropriate type from the list on the errors and warnings dialog box. If you were to download the unofficial parts into a distinct directory (eg. in the ldview dir tree) and then call them from there it would allow an (...) Sorry to so quickly respond to my own post, but I forgot to mention something. One of the sample models that LDView comes with makes use of a fair number of unofficial parts (15, to be exact). Those parts make use of 14 unofficial primitives and 1 (...) (18 years ago, 14-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, FTX)

I'm working on a feature in LDView where it will automatically check the parts tracker for unofficial parts when it encounters a file that it can't find. I recently upgraded my computer, and I was never able to get Lpub to work on my old computer, so I did all my instructions by hand with Povray. Well now I have a new computer, and I seem to have got Lpub sorta mostly working, but I have this (...) (18 years ago, 12-May-06, to lugnet.cad)
