Plough's script works beautifully even with Blender 2.37, but it does seem as if Yann beat the both of us to it. Thanks, I will check that out. Has anyone looked into using Blender to create new Ldraw parts? There is a script that reads Dat to Blender (URL), so perhaps it wouldn't be so hard to flip the script? I'm a programming noob, so I may be off base there. As I understand it, Mlcad or (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad, FTX)

I get the same error. My guess is that this 'BEN' modified/altered/improved this 2878 part. For the moment, alter your .mpd so that all 2878a.dat become 2878.dat. (with notepad) Also, you could try and contact this person and have him send you his (...) (19 years ago, 6-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

I'm aspiring to built the cars & engines from Ben's "April Fool's" group of trains. (URL) never used LDraw or MLCad, so I downloaded the various installation packages and got everything set up right. Or so I think. When I open one of the mpd files (...) (19 years ago, 6-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad)

hi folks, disapointed by the overall rendering performance of our radiosity settings (the longest engaged 3 weeks to calculate) I stopped the developement of better tweakings a long time ago. now I have to do a huge rendering for a show (7000x5000) (...) Please see this post on LEGOFan.org (URL) addressed a lot of the technical issues with importing LDraw format files into LDD at the file conversion level. I think there are things to think about at other levels (like, how to constrain models to use (...) (19 years ago, 3-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)
