first timer help - looking for a part

I'm aspiring to built the cars & engines from Ben's "April Fool's" group of
trains.

I've never used LDraw or MLCad, so I downloaded the various installation
packages and got everything set up right. Or so I think.
When I open one of the mpd files from the above gallery, MLCad displays an
"2878a.dat not found" error.
I have downloaded the "unofficial parts" library - but this file is not in
there either.
Any help is apprciated.

| I get the same error. My guess is that this 'BEN' modified/altered/improved this 2878 part. For the moment, alter your .mpd so that all 2878a.dat become 2878.dat. (with notepad) Also, you could try and contact this person and have him send you his (...) (19 years ago, 6-Sep-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
