Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta - STEP followed by ROTSTEP

(...) Kevin, The reason I did it that way, was to show just the result of the rotation as an image, and to show the next added parts only in the next image. In the mean time, I usually don't include the image with the rotation result in my building (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Program INI files (was: RE: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta)

(...) I like to add that LDDP, LDAO, and, to some extent, L3PAO use the ldraw.ini file to store program wide settings. I like this approach since it doesn't use the registry (which I abhor) and therefore makes the data easier to find and the program (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) I haven't been able to keep up with this whole discussion, (sorry) but one thing struck me. Once upon a time we tried to put this sort of global config stuff in the generic ldraw.ini file instead an app specific file like mlcad.ini. Here's an (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) I am currently working on an MPD file that uses all the layout meta-commands, this was recommended by a wise (and probably frustrated) LPub user. I'm about 85% done fixing the bugs this process uncovers. There are so many other issues I have (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) Before we start, lets talk a bit about where I'm going with LPub. When I release the next LPub, it will also be going open source, as promised. LPub would be better suited to a larger develoment team. Through these conversations, you have (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) <snip> Andy, The issue with previous parts color scaling has to do with these two consecutive lines in your LDR file: STEP ROTSTEP ROTSTEP is a variant of STEP, and therefore you have redundant steps. Following the ROTSTEP, there are more (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta - attachments

I sent the attachments directly to Kevin, as I did not find a way how to attach them to the posting. Andy (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Some comments on the LPub 2.2.0.9 beta

(...) <snip> (...) I don't understand how what you say relates to what I had in mind. Are we maybe talking about a different "camera viewing angle" ? I was using the word for the angle that has its center at the camera and looks towards the object. (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Newbie question on making new parts

I'm pretty new to L-Draw. I've read Virtual Lego cover to cover, built a few models and even tried my hand a making a new part - a Technic straw. Overall, lots of fun! So now I am interested in potentially helping out by creating and contributing (...) (20 years ago, 28-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Any chance that someone has taken a stab at this monstrosity of a challenge? Or might be planning on doing so anytime in the near future? A quick search on LDRAW.org doesn't turn up anything so I'm not hopeful but I thought I'd ask ... Thanks, Shaun (20 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Is that InstallShield Express? In short, forget it! May I recommend the free InnoSetup by Jordan Russel? (URL) + the 3:rd party add-on IsTool beats most professional packages, and may also be used commercially. (20 years ago, 27-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)
