Re: Missing parts in Ldraw, what do I do now?

(...) Yeah, I admit that I've been less active on the PT as of late. Right now we're still in a holding pattern on the next update due to several key authors that have not yet responeded to the CA. All my PT effort have been towards this effort. (...) (20 years ago, 18-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: If I were a Minifig....... (Kitchen, dining, rec & gym)

Re: Missing parts in Ldraw, what do I do now?

(...) Thank for your advice Orion. It has been on the parts tracker for a while. (URL) guess I wanted to finish something for once by appealling to an audience which may include LDRAW parts reviewers. Ian (20 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Legoland LDraw model repository

(...) I have to forgotten to mention that Javascript needs to be enabled. Please try to type 0686-73 and then click the button. This should work. Also I found that not all MPD-files yet uploaded. I will check this and give a new comment if finished. (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

If I were a Minifig....... (Kitchen, dining, rec & gym)

If I were a Minifig this would be the rest of my pad. (4 URLs) Once again there all a little to big for system minifigs but I guess thats the cost of a little detail. I'm really happy with the rec room. (Anyone want a drink) I think the pool table (...) (20 years ago, 16-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

  Re: Legoland LDraw model repository

(...) All spoked wheels LEGO released had smooth hubs and ten spokes. When LEGO switched from studded wheels to spoked wheels LEGO made prototypes with ribbed hubs and twelve spokes. These prototype wheels were used in lots of photographs for set (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Part images through LPub coming out white

(...) Geoff, The reason that your part images came out white is because you overdrove the ambient and diffuse controls in the lighting section. It is my understanding that ambient+diffuse should be <= 1. You are driving things at 1 + 0.6. This only (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Legoland LDraw model repository

(...) Great work! I couldn't get the download to work, though, even though I typed in some of the OMR numbers you listed. I also have a comment on the sets 123, 124 and 125. Are those the correct wheels? My own 120 and 125 sets, bought in 1970, had (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Comments wanted: Plans for easier parts authoring

(...) Thank you, very good and useful links! They were good examples to start me out in Python and LDR import/export for Blender, and the latest script was a very well working import. Export needs some more work to make a working parts authoring (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LEGO in CG classes was: easier parts authoring

(...) (Sorry for the late reply, I forgot to check up on the thread.) You may share the movie freely, just keep the credits in there. The other Lego-related student animations I would have liked to share were computer-animated Lego minifig remakes (...) (20 years ago, 15-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.edu, FTX)

Part images through LPub coming out white

I have a few models I am rendering complete with steps and instructions. I have LPub set to use Print resolution and have turned off the B/W feature so the images come out in full color. The instruction steps look great, but the part lists and BOM (...) (20 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: rendering different scenes at same scale

(...) David, LPub does this to make scale stay the same across building instruction steps. If you were to concatenate all your scenes together and separate them with a STEP and then CLEAR meta commands, then LPub would render each step as an image, (...) (20 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad)
